I am hoping that regardless of my beliefs I am able to enjoy any book
as a beatiful work of art and I did in fact do just that.
It is just emotionally I did not enjoy the ending at all. As I said,
I would not want it to be very religious ending, but I wanted some
hope at the end that one day in some other life (in another world,
reincarnation, whatever) those two will meet again.
I would absolutely recommend these series to anybody, but MYSELF I
will not be rereading them.
Thanks for your recommendation. :o)
Kemper now:
I think that Lyra and what's-his-name will end up together. My understanding of Pullman's afterlife (in the books) is that we are all reunited as part of the universe of all possibilities/dimensions. What I didn't like about the books is that Lyra was goo-goo over what's-his-name instead of the strong female character she was in the first book. But this seems a good topic for another list.
Back to Potter...
More specifically Snape. Duffypoo has a theory on Snape that I'm very interested in reading. If there are other ESNE (ever so not evil) Snape fans, please let her know that we are interested in her theory.
