On too many mailing lists?

I just remembered something (trying to overdose on pain killers hasn't
fried enough neurons yet)...

I think one gal said she was on about 600 mailing lists and she may have
been the one to start a list for folks who are on too many mailing lists.
I thought that was comical on some level.

Believe it or not, I don't really value my opinion that much because TPTB
will do there own thing anyway, unless there's some
legalities/contract/other-$$$ aspect which can force responsibility and
obligation to others outside their 'inner circles'.

I can voice opinions but they're easily overrode by admin because IMO
fandom is *primarily* a dictatorship and not a democracy, so more lists
are created and more mini-dictatorships are born... Or even on a fanfic
writer to reader basis there's a 'you can provide input but my decision
still overrides yours, so you could be wasting your time'.

It's rather headache-inducing to see how splintered the HP fandom is.
