Ah, I was wondering which group you were discussing exactly because, at
one moment, you're criticizing when you were a newbie, then encouraging
other newbies to follow the same path for the same possible put-down?

Please excuse my wondering at the contradiction of this.

Actually, I'm really not that glad. I just would like to find a list
where I can alter between discussing Harry Potter (movie, books, sites)
and other topics without wading through teen/netspeak.

I believe it or mods wouldn't have come on this list at all to relocate
the feedback.

Apparently, I'm mistaken about this list then.

My question then is:

Where is there a mailing list that I can pull ideas off HPFGU, talk about
them without fear of moderation (Ex: if I start about Petunia and then
divert to HBO's Six Feet Under in the same message - those that watch SFU
might get the joke), bring up the HP movies or websites, or talk about
something completely irrelevant... and not deal with tweens and their
teenspeak or homophobia?

I'll gladly relocate.

Dina
