Not quite. I'm simply saying that the experience of most discouraged
newcomers is not unique, all went through it, we all survived it. When
a newbie gets a post rejected, or has to suffer through moderation,
that's not directed at them personally, it a common experience shared
by each and every member of the groups.

I'm just trying to encourage anyone who is new to any of the
'Grownups' groups and feeling overwhelmed or under appreciated.
Everyone who is willing to hang in there, and learn and meet the basic
standards of form will eventually be rewarded by an enjoyable experience.

As to which group I was referring to when I said 'US', I was generally
referring to all the 'Grownups' groups, but more so to the main groups
as that is where the highest volume, strictest standards, and
narrowest rules exits.

I was also trying to emphasize that those rules must exits to keep the
post quality high, and to prevent the group from descending into an
endless flow of 'he's sooo cute', 'you suck', rudeness, flame wars,
and pointless rambling.

B_Boymn:

Indeed that is the question, and if you find this magical fantastic
group and it is able to maintain order and focus, and not descend into
chaos, please let us know and we will all join.

But until then, we have this somewhat open group were nearly anything
goes as long as it stays within very wide boundaries.

There are thousands of HP groups out there, discussion occur at The
Leaky Cauldron, on Mugglenet, as well as others, and the standard
there are very high. Many people here also post there, and
occassionally discussions jump groups because of it.

In closing, let me say that my only purpose is to give Newbies insight
into what we all went through in the beginning, and hopefully, that
will encourage them to stay with the groups and eventually become old
and familar contributing members.

I offer, hopefully, encouragement, if you can't find encouragement in
my words then I am sorry for not having done better, but perhaps there
are some others who will feel supported by seeing that our beginnings
here are an experience shared by every member; shared in both the joys
and the frustrations.

Just a thought.
