I haven't seen carabineers yet, the metal clips rock climbers use to
attach the ropes to the harness. They're my favorite stocking gift.
Every year we all seem to get them and in the end I have my sisters'
as well, they're so useful. Also jewelry is good for girls, earring
holders are good for girls with pierced ears (they are mostly
decorated metal with tons of holes for all the earrings, stops all
earring losing). For younger girls, Doll Clothes (I have made it a
small mission to clothe the naked Barbies of the world). I don't
have brothers but I think the army men and matchbox cars are good
ideas. I always wanted them and never got any :-(. Wallets are good
for both genders, with real or play money inside. It's good for
younger kids to play with and older kids can keep better track of
spending money. Also littler purses for girls can never go amiss
(you can never have too many shoes or purses). We usually get a
beanie baby, carabineer, jewelry, makeup, pens and pencils in our
stocking (we're a bit older though).
