I suppose it depends on the place from which you buy the book, but I pre
ordered last time, went to my local store for the midnight opening. It was
barns and noble. Anyway, all the people who ha pre ordered got to take a
number and get their books first. The people who hadn't ordered had to wait
till we were all finished.

Subject: Re: [HPFGU-OTChatter] question about pre-ordering
I resisted the urge to pre-order because I thought (maybe mistakenly?)
that if I pre-ordered HBP, I'd have to wait for it to be shipped to me,
and I'd rather get it in my hot little hands the minute it comes out.
Going through some back emails, I think I read someone say that if you
pre-order, you get a ticket (or something) and then come into the store to
pick it up, or you get a place in line on the 15th.
Can anyone help me with this? If I don't have to wait for the book to be
shipped to me, I'd defintely like to pre-order it.
Thanks!
MJ
