Getting an Israeli driver's license (WAS: Re: I've failed my driving test!)

As a fellow Israeli, I thought Amanar would like to know that my
magic number, driving test wise, is a big fat 5. Failing your first
test really isn't that big a deal around here - it's practically
expected. Having been a driver for nearly four years, I've come
to the conclusion that getting your license is one of those Israeli
rites of passage, like serving in the army. It's rarely ever pleasant,
seems like it's going to last forever, and then when it ends you
can hardly remember what all the fuss was about.

So hang in there, Amanar, you'll get them next time. Or the next.
Or the one after that.
