Carol responds:
I think it's a moth at all times. The color changes, but the fat,
rounded body doesn't. (Butterflies have slender bodies.) I tried to
check the antennae (they should be feathery for a moth, slender and
knobbed for a butterfly) but my eyesight is too poor--or the art isn't
sufficiently detailed.
I don't think it's a luna moth, which is pale green and has long
swallowtails on its wings
