"HERE'S to FIVE more YEARS!"
from me too, a good chance to delurke a bit
just having finished a cuppa green tea (with honey)
* Name(s).
Lysandrabellargus, lysandra
Sandra
*
Lysandra bellargus is the name of a butterfly (googling for it will
give you nice pictures)
I was looking for a name, and as I like butterflies I stumbled across
this one, which I just love because it has my real first name in it.
* Whose signature/handle/moniker/email address at HPfGU
(a) do you wish you had come up with first?
none
(b) intrigues you?
I like so many of them
* If you lived in the Potterverse, who would you be, and what
would you do for a living?
Hm, living in Potterverse, that could be great, I guess I would like
to work in St Mungos, not as a healer but as researcher into a cross
of magical and muggle healing strategies
* What would you see in the Mirror of Erised?
Myself, in company of loved ones and clearly happy with my job, maybe
just having received an award for an outstanding invention
* What shape would a boggart take, if you chance upon one?
Don't know, just yet, I do not like spiders and bugs though
* What happy memory will you rely upon, if you are to conjure
up a Patronus?
Myself hiking with friends in the sierra nevada, free and in company,
great nature, loved and loving
* What form might your Patronus take?
A butterfly
* What might your animagus form be?
Butterfly, although they are very small, maybe a cat
* What gifts would you register for in Diagon Alley? Or would
it be Knockturn Alley? How about at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes?
A wand, an owl, books, potion ingredients, chocolate frogs, lots of
them
* Times being what they are...what is your favorite flavor of
jam? What is your dearest ambition?
Raspberry, all berries really, to be happy with myself
* Which of the HP books is your favorite?
It was POA, but I really like HBP, I like the language and the
complexity of the story and characters
* Who is your favorite character?
It was Lupin, but we see not much of him really, Snape is just sooo
interesting
* What do you hope will happen in Book 7?
Answers for Snapes behaviour, more action from Lupin
Voldemort defeated, the wizarding world saved and united and reformed
(more tolerant, e.g. towards half-breeds etc.)
Not too many deaths
* What do you think will happen in Book 7?
Some answers, little action from Lupin
Voldemort defeated, quite a few deaths
* Given all the books whose titles are canon (see
http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizworld/books.html ) which would you
read cover to cover *first*?
Maybe `charm your own cheese'? or
Great Wizarding Events of the Twentieth Century
* What's in your Scrapbook for JKRowling.com ?
scrapbook.html )
I had six out of seven on my other computer, but all found due to
clues and help from here or potterkeys
* What's your personal best for Expert Level Minesweeper?
only played ones, ages ago
* When did you join HPfGU? How did you find us?
7 jul 2004
while being bored during my job, I though I better keep my brain
occupied so searched for something. I think I first found JKR's
site
and then probably through the lexicon came here
* Point us to your delurking post...how was that maiden voyage?
I found posting fascinating, but feel that I have little to
contribute, my first post was about Voldemort and Tom Riddle
* Point us to your favorite posts, your own or otherwise.
I do not really have favourite post, but I know that I usually read
post by neri and kneasy, and steve and geoff
On ot I enjoy the posts by dina, saitana, david, they usually make me
chuckle
* Point us to, in hindsight, what you now wish you'd never said
[ex.: ships sunken by new can(n)on, being flagged by LOONs...]
voldemort and tom riddle being not entirely the same person
* Have you been around since August 2000? What were the hot
topics for you personally five years ago, post-GoF?
nope
* What things about you often come as a surprise to others?
That I am shy, nobody believes me
* Things you do when not staring at the computer:
Daydreaming, looking for a new job, spending time with my loved one,
my friends, my nieces and cooking
** Got a question of your own? Ask it here.
how do you manage following the list and having a life
Because I read all new posts every day back in July 2004, but after a
while found, that it consumed all my time, and more, and so went to
lurking
More HP fun (share your results please!):
* Ever wonder into which Hogwarts House the Sorting Hat would
put you? If you're not sure, get sorted at
Professor MacFusty's Sorting Hat: gryffindor surprise to me
http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/ccq_hogwarts.htm
hufflepuff 79, ravenclaw 77, Gryffindor 68, slytherin 33 (this at
least seems obvious
)
http://www.btinternet.com/~harrypotterguide/sortinghat.html
32 points, Gryffindor (30 would be ravenclaw)
* Is your interest in Harry Potter just good, harmless fun...or
are you bordering on obsessive? Find out here:
I think it must be good, harmless
* Finally, just how well do you know the canon? Take the quizzes,
play the puzzles and games. So, are you savvy or sorry?
Did not the do the quizzes, I know I would not do that well
