Ah, you're really up in the 'Bible Belt'.  Yeah, it gets toasty there
too, but what I remember most about that area was the red clay for
'dirt'.  Man, that stuff stains after awhile.  Whereas further south,
it's this limestone/grey grit/wannabe dirt, especially near/along the
coast.
