Its shocking, I know, but this was the headline that greeted me on the 
Ceefax entertainment news this morning.
Apparently Jim Dale has had a lot of contact with Jo in his role as the 
narrator of the US audio books, and he reckons that she has spent so 
much time on Harry that she just wants rid of him now!  They brought 
out all the old quotes of 'waiting to see if he survives into 
adulthood' etc (but she's hardly likely to confirm that he will go on 
to be Minister of Magic or something, because that would rather give 
the game away about who triumphs in the finale).
So, this was my rather rude awakening this morning, but from what I can 
tell Jim Dale doesn't have a special insight, or anything we haven't 
all heard before.

I wouldn't worry.  Jim Dale doesn't have any secret knowledge.  In fact, i
have all the audio books read by him.  If you remember, the title of Goblet
of Fire was a closely guarded secret.  So secret that Jim Dale didn't even
know the title as he recorded it.  my version says at the beginning and end:

this is the fourth book in the Harry potter series by JK Rowling.

This is the end of the fourth book ...

He was only given a few pages at a time to record too.  So, he's just a fan
with an opinion like all the rest of us, but i doubt he knows anything more
than all the rest of us.
