Yes this is pretty obvious stuff; anyone can google for the story of
Conan Doyle, it would be pretty stupid to repeat his mistake. Agatha
Christie wisely left it to her executors to deliver the final chapters
of the Poirot and Miss Marple stories. Warners isn't going to stop
profiting from its rights. Bloomsbury and Scholastic won't back her up
in the face of public disapproval. I think she would have to revisit
the Potterverse regularly regardless of Harry's fate, or become a
permanent recluse.
