Idiot Confession

Alright, so not only tonight to I flash
the neighbors, but I, in my extreme
stupidity, forget that I took one pain
pill earlier and promptly an hour later
take two more, causing concern for me
and my mother who calls poison control
who INSISTS I must be rushed by the
hospital and calls an ambulance.

So my house ends up at near midnight,
filled with five EMT's (two
ambulances), three fire/med personnel
from the local fire department, and
five cops who declare me NOT a risk to
myself or others (I think they were
just bored).

They take my pulse and blood pressure
(and then leave me alone with the pulse
thing so I play with it by adjusting my
breathing to make it go up and down at
a whim), give me an EKG (I'm alive and
kicking, mum nearly smacked me when I
said that), then re-call poison control
as they were confused as to why they
were there, ask me a billion more times
exactly what happened, discover it is
NOT an emergency and I have a choice of
being transported, drinking activated
charcoal (EWWW, I hate that stuff and
they never give me a bucket to throw up
in), or refusing transport as I'm an
adult and staying in my nice comfy home
(and possibly being murdered by Mere).
I promptly refused several times and
attempted to refuse in French.

A few signatures later and I was all
cleared and have listed to Mere yell at
me for causing a disruption and have
had my pain pills removed from my
possession.

Am nauseated, have the itchies, have a
head ache...and my toothache is STILL
THERE!  *huffs*  Though two of the
EMT's were cute...too bad I don't go
for guys.  Anyone want them?
