Can't actually help you out on the Region 2 information you requested,
but I found a couple links that might be generally helpful.

You should be able to look in your DVD Player's owner's manual and
determine if it is PAL or NTSC, or check the tech support website of
the Manufacture of the DVD Player.
Just a suggestion. Hope you get a more knowledgable answer.
