I don't know how much coverage you guys are getting over there, but
Ken Livingstone (London's mayor) made quite a moving speach today
along the lines of 'Next week as you watch us bury our dead also
watch this, that London will be back to normal". The Queen also
made a speech, while visiting one of the hospitals involved, saying
that people like that will not stop the British from living our
lives the way we want to live them. The expression "stiff upper
lip" really springs to mind!!
Londoners were not beaten by the Blitz (and most of the east end was
flattened by that) or the IRA and there's no way these people will
defeat them either. And all your and other country's thoughts and
kind words go a long way towards helping to strengthen their resolve.
