The five CD audio books arrived the other day from my eBay purchase.
I'm thoroughly enjoying myself, listening for an hour or so each night
prior to bed. I'm about 1/2 way through listening to SS / PS right now.
Not only does Jim Dale have a pleasant voice to listen to, but by
listening, I'm learning what I hope is the proper pronunciation of some
of the words.
An example is the knut. I have always thought this was pronounced as a
single syllable, silent k, long u. I would have never imagined it was
pronounced as K-nut.
I seem to also detect that Jim Dale not only has his British accent,
but there seems to be a touch of New England in there as well.
Does anyone else hear this?
Joe
