I seem to also detect that Jim Dale not only has his British accent,
but there seems to be a touch of New England in there as well.

Does anyone else hear this?

Joe

Sherry:

There was an interview with Jim dale today on NPR's Weekend Edition. During
the interview, they asked him to read from Little women. He said he didn't
know how to do an American accent. When the interview told him it was New
England, Boston actually, he said he didn't even know Boston had an accent.
So, if there's a touch of New England, he doesn't realize it or recognition.
I admit I've listened to them numerous times, and I've never heard a New
England accent, but I'm from the Western US, so i might not recognize it
either!
