Borders Potter Party-Do It Again?

I went to a Borders Party..

It was okay...not much for adults.. I did however have fun speaking 
with all the fans!(I'm the only potterhead in my family so it was so 
nice to speak about it to others and getting responses other than blank 
stares)

It was hot and cramped so I went outside and actually met someone who 
lived in the same places I did growing up. (in Germany and England 
around the same time).

We talked about all our favorite Brit shows with special fond 
rememberances of Dr. Who, Father Ted, Are You Being Served, and Keeping 
up Appearances among them. Also, how the best Italian food we ever ate 
was in Germany.(at the same restaurant no less)

Was quite an uncanny experience; her mother is German, mine British 
strange that we still end up living just miles from each other after 
all these years. LOL

 I never waited in line much..just asked what number people were when 
they came out. My daughter (19 y.o.) waited in line and played Harry 
Potter 20 questions with the people her age around her.

Although I did read to some people in line--I read some Jean Shepard 
exerpts for them. ("In God We Trust all others Pay Cash" the book that 
was the inspiration for the movie, "Christmas Story" --the one where 
Ralphie shoots his eye out LOL...and from, "A Fist Full of Fig Newtons" 
also by the same author. It was so hot and there was a cold stone next 
store so I had to read the Ice cream story from that one.) I just began 
by reading them to my daughter then others began to gather. Us 280's to 
344's had a nice time. LOL  The stock on the humor shelf was seriously 
depleted at the end of the night. The clerk at the counter asked me if 
I wanted to order any Jean Shepard books too LOL..(I guess people 
before me had asked for them because there were none left on the shelf.)

I'd do it again it was fun..and there's only one more chance to do it 
again isn't there?  I may even dress up next time...I made some special 
shoes for bride of frankenstien a few years back...I could be madame 
maxime.LOL
