Borage needs bees to pollinate intrigued me a bit... could bee be
imagery for Dumbledore? Could Borage be a distant relative of his,

disease (Dark Order manifested as LV) resistance in nearby plants
(people not necessarily his BLOOD relation.)'
Speaking of plants... I posted a while ago on the main list about
Snape's plant imagery (SSSusan, off-list, referred to it and him as
Saguaro!Snape which I thought was brilliant), and Dumbledore seems to
have strengthened Snape's resistance to Death Eaters and the Dark
Order.
Any thoughts?<<<

Hee. I was away all day yesterday for meetings (non-paid -- boo!!)
and just am catching up.
I noticed the *bees* part of Tonks' post, too, and wondered how to
tie DD in to this. Couldn't think of a thing, I'm afraid. I still
like the Entropy suggestion better than any other we've seen -- that
a wine w/ borage helps fight boredom and melancholy -- as a typical
JKR fun-with-words kind of thing. But your idea that DD strengthens
the insect & disease resistance of those around him is certainly
intriguing.
Speaking of JKR, do you all think she gets a kick out of checking in
at various fansites and reading what all we obsessive fanatics come
up with on stuff like this? :-)
Kemper, thanks for mentioning the Saguaro!Snape imagery -- I do like
it. Prickly... dry... unreachable.... The only problem is the light
issue, since I think of cacti as spending a lot of time in the heat &
light, whereas our Severus spends a lot of time in the dark, damp
dungeons.
