Dead Like Me - oh, the language!!

I settled down last night to see my first episode of a much-hyped show which has
just started airing in the UK called "Dead Like Me". I liked the idea behind it, and
thought it should be worth a look... but I couldn't believe the foul language they used!
Have things really become so dumbed-down these days that the characters use the
'F' word over and over again - and countless other ones - as if they mean nothing?
And don't tell me the writers and actors are just reflecting real life because I mix with
a lot of people and none of us use that kind of swearing, or ever have done. Besides -
just because some people curse at random, why should that mean I have to have
their attitude towards language in my home? And if the 'socially-aware' team behind
the show are so intent on breaking down the impact of foul language, why don't they
throw in the "N" word a few times, or the "C" word as well? They're just hypocrites,
the actors are weak to go along with it, and although I liked the concept of the show,
I won't be watching again.
Sandra (feeling better for having said that. Please note the absence of swearing used
to convey my feelings.)
