He seemed to be directing himself to creepily hug the Emma Watson girl
several times. ^_~ Seriously, I thought a lot of the actors were
noticeably *off* last night -- especially Lana (who I think normally
does a perfectly acceptable job), but even Lex seemed a bit weird. At
the time, I just figured it was just general Lexana awkwardness -- I
love the idea of them in theory, but for some reason I'm finding that
it squicks me a bit in practice -- but maybe it had to do with having
someone inexperienced "behind the wheel," so to speak.
Oh, but the Emma Watson girl was *great*. Much better than the real
thing, IMO, not that I don't love my Hermione. The way the tears just
welled up in her little eyes . . . I wish more actors could cry
convincing like that.
Dina, I'm curious to know if you've ever given Veronica Mars a try --
it seems like the kind of show you would like (oh, man, the HoYay), but
I've never seen you mention it. Logan Echolls is sort of Lex's much
friskier counterpart. Someone, somewhere, *must* have written a
crossover fic with the two of them in it, and I've just got to find it.
Laura (who thought *Chloe*, of all people, had the best chemistry with
Lex in the last ep, even if he was being a jackass. Honestly, where
does he get off on insulting someone else's dating record?
Boyfriend-less as 18 is a lot better off than twice divorced from
gold-digging homicidal maniacs at 25, IMO.)
