McAfee is NOT my friend

If you have McAfee antivirus software, and you are
offered an opportunity to upgrade, do not take it.  If
you have to buy antivirus software now or in the near
future, avoid McAfee products with Virusscan 11.

I don't usually rant about things like this, but I'm
thoroughly fed up.  I've spent about 12 hours over the
past 3 evenings, first trying to get the package to
install (or to uninstall - even system restore
wouldn't get me a functional antivirus program back!),
and then trying to get my Outlook email account
(needed for work) to function.  I managed the first
after 2 wasted evenings, but still haven't gotten a
solution for the email problem.  There is a thread on
the email support page for McAfee, begun Aug. 1, about
32 reports of problems with email (mostly, you can't
send any messages.)  Several of the comments also say
that Internet Explorer doesn't work with it. 
(Fortunately, I use a Mozilla browser.)

Sue, fuming, in Columbus (where the heatwave has eased
up, so at least I'm only fuming and not melting at the
same time)
