Did you get any responses. I am curious to know what ideas or how it turns
out.
What kind of food to serve?
Who to invite?
Please let me know how it turns out. I am very interested in knowing

I write:
No, I didn't get any response. It looks like I will be having it the weekend
of February 11-12. I've seen lots of things for kid's parties but nothing
for adults.

Let's see, I'm planning to play the different movie soundtracks in the
background.

The cake will have a phoenix on it as well as yet undetermined words. Not
"In memoriam" or dates but something more lively. Maybe "nitwit, etc." from the
first book.

There will be a handmade blank book where people can write in their favorite
Dumbledore quotes or stories. I started this a few years ago with just my
favorite bits. Now I will encourage people to write in their own or write their
comments around my own.

Since the many of guests will be new to each other, I'll make nametags with
wands stamped on them and dark purple borders.

At this point, I'm going to look at the HP children's party menus and look
at how I can change them for adults.

I think the decorations will be purple and black, with lots of wands and
phoenixes.

I'm thinking about making armbands with his name and dates on them, but I'm
not sure. There will be a black and purple wreath on the front door.

Everyone will be asked to tell their favorite story about him.

It would be great to have a sorting hat in the living room and a portrait in
the entry way!

Thanks for asking. I can still use some inspiration. And if anyone is near
the Willamette Valley, email me!
