Do you go for the jugular in legal matters?

First off, I must state...that tis better to live one's life OUTSIDE
of a courtroom !
Secondly...fire the attorney immediately...yes, he will fight for
you in court...but anything your father actually owes...will just go
to the attorney...not to you or your mother!
I suggest you dump said attorney and go to your county's self help
legal center. (it's free)
You should take that second job...the family court system is truely
f'd up--even with an attorney--you'll still need that job..because
EVEN if the COURT already ORDERED IT......it does not mean that
those who are ordered to pay actually do so!!!!!(i.e. it will take a
long, long, long. long time to get any monies)
Your biggest power is to excercise liens....this is what you'd be
more beneficial to do rather than hiring an attorney! Most folks in
the universe cannot afford an attorney....and most rich folks keep
one, or more, on staff...and at the very minimum...once a lien is in
place said property cannot be sold...
I'm just horrified that your mom would tell you what's going
on...I'd never tell my kids(ages 23 to 11).....they don't need the
worry. I'd just tell my kids we don't have the money...to tell
them, would distract them for the real reason they are going to
college/school...THEIR STUDIES!
And believe you me I know ALL about Child SUPPORT....not only does
my husband pay $1000 per mo..for his Single NONCUSToDial son....but
he also gets to pay Child support for the four kids we have custody
of...sad yet very much true.
