We in Australia had always had smarties as long as I could remember [I'm
40], during the 80s, after E.T came out, there was reference to M&Ms and
also Oreos which we didn't have.

Soon after, M&Ms became available here.

The chocolate is much darker than smarties, and stronger too.
The lollies [which is what The English people and Aussies call candy,
remember that one writers!] are about half the size of smarties too.

People claim to recognise a taste difference between colours but
I reckon that's a load of bollocks.

A side note, we got Oreos sometime after 2000 and ony had cheeriOs
for about two years.

But then there's loads of great stuff we have that you guys don't :)

A friend from the states and I had swapped goodies by post, that's a
fun thing for you to try. :)
