Americans often don't like vegemite because of the way they use it,
got to go easy with it. funny thing was that I had a very sick kitty
and the vet gave him an IV bag full of vitamin B which smelt just like
Vegemite.
Lets see, Pollywaffle... like a rough wafer tube filled with marshmallow
and choc coated... not a fave, but nice. I agree with you on violet
crumble. Tim Tams... a chocolate biscuit which has a nice trick where
you can bite the ends off and suck up coffee. a couple of years ago
an american acress came here and was eating them, loved them, went home
and was amazed that she couldn't get them there... the company sent her
a huge box of them. they're popular, so it's be worth sending those.
Although not nearly as good as they used to be are freddo frogs, but
they would be good for an ex-patriot to get their hands on.
Better tasting are caramello koalas.
Savory shapes and bbq shapes [pizza shapes, nacho shapes etc] great to
snack on... nacho is a new flavour, the old ones and most popular are
the plain shapes (savoury) or BBQ.
Berocca, big fizzy pill which you drop into a glass of water, makes
a fizzy orange drink of vitamin B... great for the morning after a big
party.
That's about all I can think of.
