unexpected Potter moment

Sometimes I do wonder whether we can truly grasp ( myself included) 
the enormous influence these books made on our culture on so many 
different levels.

I so did not expect to read about Harry Potter in the Russian book I 
was reading today on the subway. :)

The book is one of those which I would call "read once and threw it 
away", but since I am uncapable of throwing books away, I call 
it "read it once and donate to the library" :)

It is a fantasy/adventure about  the people from the future who, I 
guess I could say hunt different monsters in the different centures. 
Yes, I think that describes the plot well. 

So, one of the monsters they are hunting is the spirit of the kid, 
who is very kin on revenge on the family of his mother,who abandoned 
him. Very bloodfirsty kid, I should say.

This kid's familiar is snowy owl.... hehehe. Who eventually becomes 
his downfall, but before this owl tells the hunters how to vangush 
her boss, she complains that her sister, another snowy owl got muich 
better deal, because she gets to be the familiar of nice young 
wizard named Harry Potter. :)

Hmmm. Maybe I will keep this book just because of this moment.
