I wouldn't know, because the books wouldn't exist ;-)

If you want a serious answer, then I suppose I wouldn't have had 
any validation for some crackpot (not crockpot) notions. Also, 
the online community has been a revelation and I have made some 
good friends during the course of it, as well as antagonising a 
few people. That's all part of the fun for me, as living as I do 
in a relatively isolated spot (from fandom), because so far all 
those I've met are disembodied fingers on the other end of this 
cyber realm.

One day I hope to meet some fellow members in the flesh.
