I expected to come here and find all sorts of responses to the site
update. The most interesting thing, to me, is her refusal to answer
the two FAQ questions (the alternative titles and the meaning of
"Deathly Hallows". Unfortunately, there's no FAQ poll (yet), just a
diary entry about how sad she feels having finished the book after
*seventeen years* of working on it. 

I almost forgot to mention that she thinks we'll still be arguing and
speculating about the books for years to come, which evidently means
that she won't be answering every single question. I just hope she
answers all the important one, especially regarding Snape!

Carol, who wonders what JKR means by "editing" the manuscript, which
is not the author's job
