That's interesting, Punkie. Especially since you're
quoting your Irish Grandmother and considering it a
curse word. It could well have been at one time?
What I find especially interesting about it is that we
hear it used by the Australians so much. Almost like
it's their own word (like so many American slang
words). Maybe it's because of the characters like
Crocodile Dundee and Stever Erwin (not a made-up
character like Dundee, but a "character" nontheless!
LOL).
