Thanks!

It was great to attend in person--not so much because of the "cast"
but because there are folks who adore the series in the audience
from such different walks of life...most of whom are ready and
willing to talk about the books. The reason they have their "five
questions" is because everyone has a different theory which may be
similar to another's but has a different nuance that can really only
be explained face to face.
It was like taking a college/university couse on, "Comparative
Religions"...(wow did you hear those ban folks rolling over in their
graves LOL) Not that we had theological discussions, just that if
there was enough cannon to prove, who are we to disagree. I think
most folks were realived to get it out.(although I do not think most
would but I'm a chatty person)
I also enjoyed playing the quizzes(not that I went up on
stage)..but that my kids sitting next to me were amazed at my
answers that went well on beyond the competition.(some have read the
books some have not)..
At the very least, I did enjoy purchasing my "Snape is Evil" pin(you
could purchase a "snape is good pin" too..and I bought a t-shirt for
less than $20--for both (and they don't hard press any sales either)
Although my fav was the a "Do Not Disturb" sign that hangs on the
door knob ala JKR's website..
I may have bought one, but I like my sign better--I created
a "potter reading obit bequeathing my last lasagne in the oven to
them"/"I must leave the muggle world temporarily" poster that covers
my door.lol (probably not so funny for most households but I make a
living writing obituaries, among other things..
Anyhoo, go and sit in the front row, and speak up...especially if
you have a niggling question or comment.(there were a wide range of
ages there...from 2 to 70+, although the adults did let the kids
compete in the competitive quizes).)
And go up to the microphone for the question/theory part because
most younger kids that go up are trying to ask their parents'
questions or propose their parents' theories and it always came out
wrong. Poor kids..taking that risk and seeing the parents not
looking back to the them but to watch their mom or dad looking at
the back of their eyelids as they covered their face with their
hands..so don't feel bad about saving a wee one..

Make sure to have fun the hosts are great..
