I loved it too.  Yes, it was brutal, but like Steve said, that's war 
isn't it?  I would rather have it be realistic.  It was a very 
exciting story, with lots of action (although the middle part was 
tamer), and even a few funny lines...though not many, but I expected 
that.  When everyone has finished reading, I'll tell you my favorite 
line in the whole book (Harry says it near the end).  I thought the 
book was a treasure, and I've already started reading it again.
