Geoff:
If you are speaking of the UK versions, there is no difference 
between the adult and young people's version sexcept fo the 
dust jacket. I just looked more intellectual reading the adult
version on the deck of a steamer soming back fro the Isles 
of Scilly to the UK mainland. :-)

Bloomsbury also do a rather nice "library" edition which comes 
out in due course. It's a hardback volume with a plain colour 
cover (different for each book). In the centre on the front is a 
4" square drawing taken from part of the the young people's 
version.

They look quite posh sitting next to my Tolkien volumes on 
the window sill behind the computer.
