I never used a dryer in England, or in Italy where I lived for 10 years - in
Italy I had a washer/dryer, but even after 2 hours the clothes were still
damp, so stopped using the dryer part - European machines use much less
power than American ones. My mother has a posh new dryer which she never
uses - if it is too wet to dry things on the line, she hangs them above the
radiator...
I would say unless it specifies washer/dryer, those flats have washer only.
Again probably for power usage, as well as space, reasons. Electricity is
very expensive in the UK. Do they state an airing cupboard? Because I've
always had airing cupboards in my English flats and houses, and that is
where I would dry my clothes...
