Sandy:

Of all the child actors in the movies I consider Devon to be the least
talented, especially in the earlier films. I had no idea he had acted previously. I
have always questioned his being cast in the movies.

Sandy:

Seems to me that I remember an interview with Tom where he stated he wasn't
sure if he wanted to pursue an acting career.

Sandy, liberally snipping the rest of Steve's post.

Are you kidding with this?! Flipping burgers? These kids have made more money
already than you and I will make together our entire lives. I often wonder
how the pay is handled for the three main actors. Dan made 8 million for GOF.
Did Rupert and Emma also make that much? I doubt it, but I am sure the word
million played into their contracts also, it's just a question of how many, and
there are still two more movies to go. Even Sean Biggerstaff alluded to how much
money he made from the Potter films, and he was only in two of them playing a
relatively minor role. By the time the series is over these kids will never
have to work again. That is one of the reasons I don't understand Daniel's
drive. As far as Rupert goes, I have never heard him say he wants to pursue an
acting career, although I haven't heard him say he doesn't either. You are
obviously a big Rupert fan and would like to see him continue his acting. There is
nothing wrong with that. But does he really want to? But whether or not he
does, you certainly don't need to worry about him flipping burgers somewhere. He
has already made far too much money to have to worry about that.
