couple of different book clubs and have at least a hundred unread
books stacked everywhere. Harry Potter was a fluke in my life that has
consumed several years of it. I have to say that I am sorry to see it
ending, but on the other hand it will be nice to get back to my
regular reading.

got it from the book club recently and had never read it, so I
couldn't resist. It is putting me behind on rereading the HP books on
time to go from HBP to DH but I will just skip OOP if I have to. It
won't be too much of a sacrifice since it is my least favorite, and it
will save me from throwing the book several times as I have done every
time I have read it.

Carol again:
No, no! Don't skip OoP. I'm currently rereading it, and parts of it
are wonderful (all the Occlumency scenes, for example, and Snape vs.
Sirius Black at 12 GP. The DoM battle is also intriguing, but hard to
follow. I like figuring out which DE is which, but I'm weird that
way). "Mansfield Park" is possibly not the best of the Austen novels
(a matter of taste, of course), and it shouldn't take all that long to
read. Certainly, you should have time for it *and* the fifth and sixth
HP books. I grit my teeth when I read some of the Umbridge scenes, and
you might want to skip or skim them if you feel the same way, but OoP
was long for a reason; I think we'll find that parts of it that seemed
unimportant at the time fall into place when we read DH.
Carol, who loved GoF and found OoP disappointing on a first reading
but thinks it improves with time
