Some American pronunciations ov Versailles would be "Ver-Sales" rather than
the given "Vaer-Sigh."

What cracks me up is the way one of my British friends pronounced Filet.  He
called it a "Fil-let."  And a fish needed to be "fil-letted."

And isn't there a place in Pennsylvania called Du Bois?  It's pronounced "Du
Boyce" rather than "Du Bwa."
