That is the whole point; we are approaching this from different ends. I
speak UK, you speak US.
I wouldn't even think of pronouncing Alicia "Aleesia". I've just never heard
it said that way over here.
It just another in a long list of words which are pronounced differently
depending on which side of the pond you grew up.
