My first experience in the Harry Potter world was renting the Sorcerers Stone upon its release way back when. I made the decision then that I wouldn't read the books and watch the movies as well. As to your question, I have through the years participated as a member of a number of Harry Potter groups. I have a strict policy of not getting drawn into a debate over the Harry Potter books versus the Movies.
