He picked them up over the summer. 

But the next question we should ask is, where did he get the
money? Not that it would cost that much. Probably could have
picked up the whole works for $10 to $15. 

And, by the way, exactly what is 'fuse wire' and how does it
differ from ordinary wire? 

I really missed the hospital scene in the movie. There was so
much wonderful humor in it.
