"Nice and" expression question.

Kemper now:
A correctly supple wand sounds objective when the matter of suppleness
seems a subjective preference.  

A sweater might be nice and warm for my sister but too hot for my
brother (given that they are the same size).

A correctly adjusted temperature control is more objective.  The
thermostat is nice and set at 68*.
