Personally, I can't see Ron's return as the end of the first film. There's just too much to squeeze into the second film (and not enough in the first film unless they want to prolong the agony of the camping trip) to end the first one there. I think they'll most likely end the first one with Dobby's burial and begin the second one with the Gringotts break-in--all the action of the second film in one very long twenty-four hours. That's how I would do it, anyway.

Carol, who and hopes that Snape's Pensieve memories (and maybe the encounter with Aberforth) will provide a much-needed break from the almost nonstop action of the second film
