A couple of things I missed addressing.
Denmark still has a monarchy (one that gets almost as much public
attention in Australia now as our own monarchy because the Crown
Princess was born in Australia). Denmark is currently ruled by Queen
Margrethe II. The Greek Monarchy was abolished in 1973, but King
Constantine II never abdicated and he still calls himself King although
he accepts that if the people of Greece want to be a republic, they have
that right (and he is still a Prince of Denmark). He lives in London,
and diplomatically speaking is still treated as Royal - and is actually
one of Prince William's Godfathers (Princes get more than one - William
wound up with three Godfathers and three Godmothers).
