go back and complete the work on all of the deleted scenes before the DVD

Avatar was different, they did restore scenes that Jim Cameron wanted
restored, the third version was intended to just to give fans an idea of
what else was cut. With Avatar they inserted 15 min of deleted scenes and
re-released it in theaters then dvd/blu-ray. It's just not the same thing
A better example would be LOTR, each film had about an hour of unfinished
scenes that were completed just for the DVD release.
Regardless there are multiple "complete" scenes in 3 & 4 that could have
been added in, quickly, painlessly, and offered with the ultimate editions.
There's certainly a viable market and after the first two fans were
expecting it.
