Hello, all. I would like to ask your assistance in a quest I am on. I
am an American Masters student at the London School of Economics. I
am studying towards a Masters in Social Psychology. When I was home
over the winter break, I read all three of the Harry Potter books, and
really fell for them. I fell for them to such an extent that I decided
to center my Masters degree thesis around them! As an adult HP reader
myself, I am interested to look at what other adult readers draw out
of these books. I'd be very grateful if I could contact you and spend
about a half hour getting your take on the books. Assuming that you all
probably live in the States, it would most likely be a phone interview,
for which I would call you from London. If by some chance you live near
me in the U.S., the other option would be a face-to-face conversation
when I come home for a week in June.

If you are interested or would first like more information on me or my
thesis, please either contact me via the club messages, or email me at
jenlorin at hotmail.com. Thanks so much!

On an unrelated note, what are your thoughts on the role of Sirius Black
in Harry's life? Do you think it's important for the balance in the plot
that he stay with the miserable Dursleys? I found myself so much wanting
Harry to have the sense of family that could come from him living with
Sirius, but I wasn't sure if Rowling would ever alter such an important
element in the storyline...
