My dear woman, whom could you possibly mean in this wide-cast net? The
ones who thought the effects in Jurassic Park were grotesquely over-rated?

FWIW I agree with the assessment: bad effects can spoil a movie but good
effects cannot save it.

Actually, I have a soft spot in my heart for the movie about the car
with the license plate GEN 11, jsut as I do for successors of its ilk
such as _Hook_. It had a charm all its own, but on the whole the book
was indeed 'neater', not just 'better'. Conversely i avoided the movie of
_The Little Prince_ as i thought that was carrying things *way* too far.
