My musings weren't really whether Harry is *related* to Voldemort. I don't
think he is for a number of reasons (although we don't know much about
James Potter's family though, do we?). Harry bears too much physical
resemblance to both parents, a point that Rowling has stressed, to be
Voldemort's son. And, I guess he saw his grandparents in the Mirror of
Erised, so he's unlikely to be his grandson through his father's side,
right?

Actually, in my earlier post, I was focusing on the "ancestor"
of Slytherin versus "descendant" of Slytherin. If Voldemort is the
*ancestor* of Slytherin, that has very different implications than if
he is merely the last remaining *descendant* of Slytherin. I think it
must be a typo that the American editors caught since the adjectives
"last remaining" certainly imply descendant rather than ancestor. But,
I was just wondering if anyone else had thoughts about the implications
*if* the UK version is *not* a typo.
