"Catlady has not been reading Book IV and didn't make up the name Puja
-snip- maybe it was fanfic as you suggest, or a dream"

Years ago, when I was a child, I read a compilation of fantasy/adventure
stories. It was one of those big, board-backed books, with illustrations
dancing through the text, and it was one of my favourite things to read
under the bedsheets.

Somehow, the book got mislaid and, several years later, my memories
of it had faded. There was one story in the book that had fascinated
me and, although the details were sketchy, I knew it had been special
or unusual in some way. I could recall flashes of pictures and text,
but not get a clear hold on it.

A few years later still, I found the book. I leafed through it, eagerly,
looking for *my* story, but - to my horror - it wasn't there.

Perhaps I'd seen the story in another book, and got confused, or made
the whole thing up myself in a dream, but the thought of it still sends
a chill down my spine. I remember being convinced that the story had
been removed from the book by forces unknown.

My overactive imagination, I guess...

Neil
