"In any case, I do not buy the argument that there wouldn't be staff
meetings and such about the HP restrictions"

This is what amazed me about the stories. They suggest that these
stores function with no communication between employees. I suppose it
is just that I am used to one of the best academic book shops in the UK
(Blackwell's) which combines staff with amazing knowledge and a massive
selection of books of all types. You go in ask for the book you require
and they can take you straight too it and tell you wether it is any good.

"Now, Wal-Mart"

These comments about WM are worrying me. We are meant to be getting
them in the UK soon. I will have to avoid them! We have recently got
some Borders stores who (as of Sunday) were still telling us that it is
Harry Potter and the Doomspell Tournoment.

My tuppence for today (well I am English).

Simon
