"Are you sure? I seem to remember that she says something vague like --
*Someone the readers will care about will die in Book 4. I havent said
that it is Hagrid.*
Can I reiterate my previous theories about death: -
1. Use of the time turner
2. Conversion to a ghost
1. The time turner rescued Buckbeak from a death which actually occurred,
so why not another character, like Hagrid? People can't be brought back
from the dead, but their death could be prevented in the short-term,
if this sort of magic is available. [JKR probably wouldn't use the same
device a second time, but you never know].
2. I reckon that if Hagrid died, he would be troubled enough to continue
his existence as a ghost. Perhaps this would not be discovered until Book
5 and it would line up with the assertion that someone 'dies' in book 4.
It amuses me to think that some people can read these wild theories
knowing every detail of Book 4, and laugh at me behind their hands...
